Green Hill Vibes


Not to be confused with the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Green Hill the suburb, is home to around 6,500 residents and is located about 25 minutes northeast of downtown Nashville and about 15 minutes from the airport. Almost entirely residential, it is bordered to the north by the Cumberland River, the city of Mount Juliet to the east and south, and the Old Hickory and Hermitage neighborhoods of Nashville to the south.


Ranked the 3rd Best Suburb to Buy a Home in Tennessee according to niche.com, Green Hill is also home to some fantastic schools. Rated an A-*, Green Hill is served primarily by the Wilson County School District. Mt. Juliet High School is rated an A- and currently serves most or all of Green Hill*. There is also a brand new high school, aptly named Green Hill High School. This is a very new school built to serve around 2,000 students. For middle schools you have Mt. Juliet Middle School which gets an A-*. In terms of elementary schools, there is W.A. Wright and Lakeview Elementary Schools, both of which are rated an A.


Home Price Statistics


The median home sale price in Green Hill comes in around $330k, a little below the Nashville median of around $375k. Currently on the market for single-family homes, prices range from around $356k-$830k. If you're looking for a condo or townhome, good luck - there aren't many. About 84% of residents in Green Hill own their home.

  • No public parks or outdoor spaces - almost entirely private residential homes

  • Basically no sidewalks

  • "Echo's a rural past" -- some spots in Green Hill with lower pride of ownership
